I watched it again yesterday afternoon. Now, I just want to watch it all over again. It's addictive! I've been thinking about it on and off for the last 24 hours. I'm afraid I must have Lorna Doone on the brain. LOL. Sure, this movie has it's faults, but I don't really care - it may not be the best period film I've ever seen, but it's still one of my favourites! *Sighs*. . . I just want to BE Lorna! Actually no, I don't - not really. But it's nice to be Lorna for 3 hours. Which is why I watch this movie a lot. :P
Here are some screen shots:

This just reminds me so much of LOTR. . . (you remember, Edoras, the home of the Kings of Rohan in The Two Towers?)

I may be wrong, but I am almost 100% certain this is the same guy who plays Captain Harville in Persuasion 2007. What do you think?

The pain of unrequited love! Poor ol' Carver. He is the baddie though, so I guess we're not supposed to have too much sympathy for him.

Well, I hope you enjoyed those pictures, because it took me ages to figure out how to resize and compress my screen captures on Gimp! :P LOL, I'm only joking. . . sort of. . .
Taking screen shots is hard! Harder than I thought it would be. You have to click "Pause" at exactly the right instant, otherwise you have to rewind and try again. I guess I just don't have the reflexes for it. I've always been terrible at those computer games where you have to use reflexes rather than brains. . .
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

EDIT: I forgot to include a link to the Lorna Doone movie review I wrote last year. Here it is, if you want to read it.
And I also forgot to add that all of these pictures are from the first episode of Lorna Doone - I might post some pics from the second episode sometime later.
I just realised that I posted 5 pictures of the villain, Carver Doone, but only one or two of the hero, John Ridd. Hmmm. . . I might try to correct this imbalance in the episode 2 post, if such a post does indeed eventuate. . .

Thanks for the reminder of how great this movie is! Carver is so evil in this film, and John and Lorna (in particular) are really well-played I think. I always found it interesting that John became a man one day while out harvesting wheat.
We have to watch it again... soon!
Very very kewl pictures! :-) I wish they would play that movie here sometime; just so I can fit all the pictures into scenes and stuff :P
Word verification is "Plate" = random ;)

Hugs

Andy - do you mean that metaphorically? Becoming a man whilst harvesting wheat? Or did you just think it was funny how they did that transition?
Guitargirl - I sometimes get the weirdest verification thingys! So funny!
Miss Jen - yes, it's a great movie. I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures. :-)

Having more photos of Carver doesn't bother me. ;)
