Yep, I'm taking the plunge! This is my first attempt at Nanowrimo. The idea is to write a 50 000 word novel - in one month, November. LOL, I'll be doing well if I make it to 5000. . .

I've been thinking about doing this too but still not sure. Good luck with the project. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks! :-) Do consider giving it a go - I wasn't sure about it at first, either, but put it this way - you've got nothing to lose! It will probably be a fun, worth-while experience.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!!! I have no novel lurking inside of me anywhere, but I'm impressed by those of you who do! This sounds like a fun project!

ReplyDeleteWishing you all the best in this venture. I just emailed my children to see if they wish to join you.
Thanks, Tracie and Erin!
ReplyDeleteIf C, D or any of yours would like to join in, that would be awesome. :-)
Oh! I would like to add you! I have done and won Nanowrimo two years now and I am also doing it again this year! Hoorah! 50K seems like a lot of work, but if you achieve almost 2k per day, which is three pages, depending if it is all dialogue or paragraphs, you can make the goal easily. Hehe! :)

ReplyDeleteOh, is it that time of the year again???
Drats! =P I completely forgot and just started a Book Club. I don't think I'll be able to focus on both . . .
Good luck to you, Elise! =)
Hey, I'm doing NaNo, too!
ReplyDeleteYAY, YAY, YAY! I'm gonna add you as a writing buddy - have you got any plot ideas yet?
ReplyDeleteI haven't, sad ay.
:)
Yep, I've got a plot - albeit a pretty lame one. :P

ReplyDeleteIf you've got the plot, then you've got a map!
I usually start with characters--two or three quirky and contrasting personalities whom I think will be interesting to throw together--but I don't often know what to make them do beyond the first few scenes! =(
