The joys [and quirks] of homeschooling

Hmmm, I seem to have been posting a lot of Youtube vids lately. Nonetheless, I just couldn't resist sharing these with you all. . .

And this third one is possible my favourite.

Some of what was in those videos is of course exaggerated, but there were other bits that I could really identify with. I've been homeschooled my whole life and have always LOVED it. I found certain moments from the above videos to be very poignant - and very funny. :-)

Also, have a look at these Regency Dress Up Doll and Dress Up Hero sites. A most pleasant and agreeable way to waste time online. :P

Must go to bed now. . .

Current Mood: Tired

EDIT: I realise that, strictly speaking, the third video is non-homeschooling-related. You'll have to excuse me, I was so tired last night when I posted this. I guess my brain wasn't functioning properly. . .

Then again, homeschooling families tend to be large families, and vice versa, so you could argue that Video No.3 is indirectly connected with homeschooling. . .

This was funny :) Actually, I wish I had been home-schooled (being a typical highly gifted underachiever at school), but in Germany it is prohibited and both my parents were school teachers, so they didn't believe in home schooling anyway. Well, I survived it somehow, but I HATED school (except elementary school), even though I loved - and still love - learning! I'm glad I can "home school" myself now ;)

Wow! I've heard that homeschooling is not allowed in Germany. I wonder if many other countries are the same?

I am so glad my parents homeschooled me! I really don't think I would have liked 'real' school at all.

Watching the first video reminded me of how fun it was when my school friends were doing exams. I definitely rubbed it in a bit during those times. :-D

I am considering homeschooling my children - do you have any sites in the homeschooling world that I can look up?
