Voyage of the Dawn Treader Trailer!!!!

Yay!! It's finally here! :-D Forgive my fangirly semi-hysteria. . .

(Once again, you might want to pause my blog music before watching. . .)

First thoughts:

*THIS LOOKS SO COOL!! I can't wait to see the movie!! Hehe. . .

*There have definitely been a few plot tweaks.

*The Dawn Treader itself looks stunning, and I love how they've visualised the landscapes (especially near the end of the trailer, the sea of lilies and the wall of water) and interiors from the book.

*We don't really see much of Caspian or Eustace - guess they're saving that for a surprise.

*LOL at the bit (at 1:42) where Eustace says "This place just gets weirder and weirder!" :-D Eustace is one of my favourite Narnia characters - I hope they retain a lot of his best lines from the book!

*The dufflepuds look pretty awesome, too.

*Lucy (Georgie Henley) is so grown up!!

*In the few hours since this was released, I have watched it about 10 times. . . and the more I see it, the more I like it! :-)

*Man, how I am going to survive until December 10th????!!!!

Your thoughts???

I think it will be the best one, so far! =D

Yes, there are definitely tweaks to the original plot, but I liked the reenvisioning of Prince Caspian and I think I will like this one. Someone I know was upset that the White Witch showed up again in that movie and will probably be upset for the same reason here--but well, why shouldn't the White Witch come back? Isn't it true that we must constantly be on the watch against old temptations, which never really "die" until the last battle? (Pun intended!)

What makes me really curious is that Peter and Susan seem to be back, too, when they aren't "supposed" to be--but again, I'm willing to trust the filmmakers!

It's such a visual feast, so far. I'm very excited!!! =D

Vellvin, so do I!!

Enbrethiliel - but with Prince Caspin, wasn't the White Witch in the book anyway?!

I'm right with you there. Although I do think they failed to really capture the magic and wonder of Narnia with PC - I'm confident they'll do a better job of that here, though. :-)

True. I don't think having the White Witch reappear here will be bother me as much I thought it might - I'm getting used to the idea, anyway.

What makes me really curious is that Peter and Susan seem to be back, too, when they aren't "supposed" to be--but again, I'm willing to trust the filmmakers!

Yeah. . . it will be interesting to see what that is all about. I'm guessing it'll be somewhere near the end - where they meet Aslan, etc.

It's such a visual feast, so far. I'm very excited!!! =D

ME TOO!!!! As I'm sure you can tell, haha. :P

Ashley - I'm not the only one then, LOL! It does look great. :-)

Theresa, amen to that!

Oops, excuse my typo - Prince Caspian, not Caspin, hehe.

Pretty cool! I mainly can't wait to see "The Silver Chair" though. That was my favorite of the books.

P.S. - I like the Gillian Anderson/Bleak House picture on your sidebars. It makes me happy. :)

Oh, you're right: the White Witch does appear again in Prince Caspian. I just remember arguing with someone who didn't like the way that scene was played out. =P

I am so excited!! I've watched it about ten times now myself (and my daughter has watched it another five or so) and I just can hardly wait for December!!

I am disappointed to see Peter and Susan in the trailer...I'm not sure how they are going to play that out.

I'm not getting too upset over the White Witch.

...and honestly, I'm too excited about it right now to be too upset about anything!

Hi Elise!
This looks awesome! I still haven't watched Prince Caspian so the December release will give me time to do that! I don't know why I haven't seen it yet... too many films to keep up with! But you've reminded me that I want to catch up on all things Narnian!!

This movie looks awesome!

I had no idea the trailer was out, until just today when I came upon it this afternoon when browsing for "Narnia" images. Now, I rather regret having watched it because I'm super excited to see it and must now wait 'til Christmas! That hardly seems fair. :)

The one thing that will make me sad is Peter and Susan missing as the entire cast worked so well together, but then that is keeping true to the novels. So far "Caspian" and "Lion, Witch & Wardrobe" were all quite faithful to the original material, so I cannot wait to read "Dawn Treader" and see how well it follows. Especially now the films are in new hands... hmmm, that may prove interesting...

Guitargirl, The Silver Chair is one of my favourite in the series, too! I can't wait to see the film!! (That is assuming they make. . . please, please, please, Fox Studios!!) And why does that picture make you happy, LOL?

Elinor Dashwood, read the book! :-D

Milisande and Tracie - oh well, hopefully the Susan & Peter thing will resolve itself without too many issues! We'll just have to wait for the movie to find out what that's all about, I guess. . .

Charleybrown, yes, do catch up on all things Narnian! It's always worth it. :-)

Anonymous, yes, it will be very interesting to see how things go with the new director and production team. . .

Acutally, there is a listing for "The Silver Chair" to rlease in 2011, but I'd imagne with ths latest not releasing until December, there won't much information about just yet.

Looks like more than a few plot twists, unfortunately! I wish they would make them true to C. S. Lewis' series. But I have to admit it does look amazing and I'm really excited! :)
