Dawn Treader is out in America!

Once you've seen it, please come here and discuss! Rant or rave, according to your inclination. Tell me what you thought about every little detail of the film!

First rant (although more will probably come in the future :P): Ramandu isn't there! :(( Coriakin's barely there, and the movie feels so fast-paced.

But Reepicheep's cute. :)

Well, I haven't read the book in a while, but after watching tonight I'm definitely going to reread it.
I thought it was a wonderful movie, but I'm not sure I remember that much about the book. Does Eustace...you know...in the book? (Don't want to say it in case someone who reads this hasn't seen it yet) Also, I don't remember an "evil" island; I remembered it was all about finding the lost Narnian Lords.
I think the ending's really sad, and Edmund's sudden change in opinion is somewhat abrupt, but I thought it was a great movie with an amazing Christian message!
The point where Aslan says "You came to this world so you could know me in yours (paraphrasing here)" gives you chill bumps!
Anyway, thoroughly enjoyed it!

I'm re-reading the book before I go to see it just so I know what is 'real' and what has been 'adjusted', shall we say. I can't wait to see it!!!! I think I'm going on Tuesday late at night after a hectic day of exams and choir. It'll be a wonderful end to the day, I'm sure! Can't wait to hear all of your opinions.

Thought of you since I know you're a Narnia fan, have you seen this video with the actors meeting a real cub? Cute! http://bit.ly/dNXhzT

As a reader of the books, I like this adaptation. It was good overall. The changes might be debatable as to whether they were necessary, however I am willing to accept them as the director's view. Personally, I feel like Aslan could have been included more and that Eustace's transformation back to a boy could have had more feeling.

Cinematically, the plot was rushed, especially at the very beginning. The 3D effects I thought were well handled, but not my favorite way to view a movie. It hurts my eyes. :)

A good addition to "The Chronicles of Narnia" franchise.

I liked this one, though not as much as the Prince Caspian adaptation.

Will Pouter does an excellent job as Eustace. It's difficult to be such a rotter at the beginning and then a chastened convert at the end--but he pulls it off. In fact, I think I prefer his sarcastic self to his "improved" version. LOL!

There were some things I didn't like, such as the silly green mist. It was just too obvious, you know? And I wasn't too crazy about Caspian following them to the world's end. It would have been more bittersweet for him to have sailed back with his crew, as in the original story.

But on the whole, I'd say there was more to like than to criticise. The best thing about all the movies is the way they make the Pevensies more three dimensional than they ever are in the books. I really want to see what happens to Susan now.

what annoyed me the most was that they didn't stick to the story - they introduced a mist, that somehow devours people. Then there was the seven swords that had to be placed on top of each other in order to destroy the mist..
The island of people's 'darkest wishes' was frustrating, as it was ridiculous and had nothing to do with Lewis' story.

It just annoyed me! They should have kept to the story, not tried to make the plot better. :(
Looking forward to The Silver Chair though!

Okay, I have shocked some people by saying...I loved it!!! I cannot wait to see it again!! Shocking I know but for me it still had the magic of Narnia. I felt like I was there! I cried my eyes out at the end. It was lovely!!!
