RICHARD ARMITAGE IS IN THE HOBBIT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry. Longer post to come on this later. I don't know how I missed this most interesting piece of information. I haven't even finished reading the article - I just started squealing and hyperventilating and immediately logged in to blogger so I could share this with all of you. . .

Yup, it's been known for a while now (a few weeks? A month? Can't remember), but oh, isn't it the most fantastic news? :D

Thanks for that little bit of info! I've been wondering that for quite a bit now.

lol We found it out, just a couple weeks ago. I'm still trying to picture him as the short, somewhat ill tempered Thorin Oakenshield but I'm sure he'll do a good job. I can hardly believe the completion of the film is so far away though!!

I was hoping he'd play Bard, but this may be even better!! I think he'll be an amazing Thorin.

Oh! and did you see that Cate Blanchet was confirmed as Galadriel in this film? Was Galadriel really in the Hobbit though?! And I don't remember a wizard (beside Gandalf) in the Hobbit either... granted, it's been several months since I read the book...

I know I am soooo exited about it!!!! I have to say though I am wondering how they will make a 6' 2" man look like a dwarf! The wonder of technology! :)

I'm reading the Hobbit now *coughs shamefacedly* and am really enjoying it; I think it's much lighter than LOTR. Though I'm still puzzled about how they're going to transform tall, dark, and oh-so-handsome Richard into proud and imperious Thorin. Ah well. As long as they don't crush him under a curly Gimli-style beard, I'm all for watching this. :)
