A Damsel's Daybook IX

A Damsel's Daybook

Outside my window. . . a grey, slightly tempestuous, but beautiful evening.

I am thinking about. . . how many more words I need to write today for Nanowrimo. . .  and how cool it was that Stan Walker - an 18-year-old Christian guy from the Gold Coast - won Australian Idol last night!!

From the kitchen. . . dinner cleanup!

I am creating. . . a novel! A really lame one. . .

I am reading. . . Asterix comics - some light reading in between fits of novel-writing.

I am hearing. . . rainbow lorikeets screeching. Two or three siblings playing cricket outside.

I am hoping. . . that I win Nanowrimo! I've come too far to lose now!!!

I am planning. . . to write 1000 more words in the next two hours.

Around the house. . . several people watching a Little House on the Prairie DVD.

My wish of the week. . . that my novel won't end up being complete and utter rubbish.

A Christian guy won NZ Idol here a year or two ago. It might just be me, but I don't seem to be able to reconcile it with Deut 5:7-9.

Not like I'm an idol fan, but did you know that Stan Walker was raised in NZ?
Hope the noveling goes well!

Theresa - yeah, I did! LOL, I was on Youtube today, and there is a massive debate going on as to whether Stan is Australian or a Kiwi. . . we both want to claim him as our own! :-D He was raised in NZ, but he was born in Melbourne. . .

Andy - fair enough. I don't necessarily agree - just because the word 'idol' is in the title. . . I guess it just doesn't bother me so much. I think that God can use music to touch people's hearts and minds, and whether that's through Stan Walker on Aus. Idol, or through any other medium, I don't really mind.

Ah, Nanowrimo... I wanted to join that this year, but, well, it it was very wishful thinking.

Maybe next year.

Mallory - wow, another award! Thanks so much! :-D

Miss Jordan Elizabeth - yes, maybe next year. Be warned - it is pretty crazy!! I've found it be very hard. I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end, though. . .

Jenny - thanks!

Rebekah - no, I only made it to about 700 words. . .
