heh, switched on the TV at the hotel room in Sydney Saturday night and lo and behold Anne of Green Gables was playing (love it), so I immediately remembered your blog of course.
I don't know who first said it, but it's something of a maxim. But I believe it. True bravery/courage is not simply acting when you're not afraid, on the contrary, it's being scared to death but doing it anyway.
